Snowy Sunday

Well it finally arrived.

The snow had been threatening to fall all week and today we had some really huge flakes of snow

Unless it freezes tonight all the snow will have disappeared.

It is melting very fast at the moment.

My son is really hoping that get gets colder tonight then he won't be able to get to school, the bus won't run if it is icy, so he can't get to school.

brrr, i saw the UK snow on our news. its coming in to summer and we have a mild 19 today with a bit of drizzle, quite humid. even in winter we dont get snow here in my town. Its good for kiddies to have a break from routine occasionally so i hope the school bus is off tommorrow, although that will probably mean being stuck inside bored.

We had our first snow in Ky. yesterday. The day after Thanksgiving. I gathered up enough snow to melt and fill a pint jar. When we were kids our Mother always kept some water from the first snow of the season,in a jar,in the fridge, for burns. The best I remember,it worked. My Mother's folks were Cajun, and some of them practiced using lots of herbs and home remedies.I guess that carried down to me. I love learning what helps what, in order to avoid medical doctors.
